Takohiki (Sashimi Knife)

Takohiki (Sashimi knife) with thin and long single bevel blade was used in the Kanto(east) region of Japan. It is characterized by its square tip and the straight edge.

Due to its long and straight edge, Takohiki can also be useful to cut things that are soft and have a large mass such as "Kanten(agar)".
