Yoshihiro KUSP Santoku 180 mm – White Steel #2 Kurouchi Japanese Kitchen Knife
The Yoshihiro KUSP Santoku 180 mm features a Yasuki White Steel #2 (Shirogami #2) core with Carbon Steel cladding and a traditional Kurouchi finish using the Warikomi construction.
White Steel #2 is a High-Carbon Japanese steel known for excellent sharpness, fine edge formation, and a traditional cutting feel. It is highly regarded among users who appreciate the performance of carbon steel Japanese knives.
The Kurouchi finish is created by leaving part of the dark oxide surface formed during heat treatment on the blade, giving the knife its distinctive rustic appearance and traditional character.
