Japanese Traditional Knives actually need some maintenance for anti-rusting,especially after using.Knife Maintenance Kit is not essential, but convenient & useful for daily Knife Maintenance, which works mainly for Carbon Steel's blade.But we also recommend to use it for Stainless Steel's from time to time.
Tsubaki Camellia Oil is mainly used for high-quality knife to maintain cutting and shining quality or to protect against any rust, corrosion and discoloration.
Please use the oil in daily maintenance or when you don't use your knives for storage.
